Eve: You have no idea how much the sun burns my skin. My blood boils in the sunlight and I grow weak. That means I can't take fire without it burning me to the nerves. During the day I feel so weak. My blood magic doesn't work as well during the day either.

Blood-starvation occurs when a vampire goes far too long without feeding on the blood of a mortal being. It can be a painful experience but while blood-starved a vampire's powers multiply in strengh.

Alex: (nods) Yeah, I would know how you feel, if I were a vampire, like you, Eve.

Blood-starvation also makes her very weak in sunlight, and nearly all fire-based attacks against her will fatally harm her.
Eve: See why I hate blood-starvation? If I'm not careful during the day I could die.
Kronar: You're not the only one lass.
