Well I'm not too advanced on my critiques, but if I have to say something detailed then you did a nice job with the choice of colors and backgrounds. The shading is great and everything seems to on par or better. Congradulations on this. And to be really honest, if I was in to things with furry brown ears, I would be in to that.

Kyuu! Kawaii--I like it. She looks like the kind of kitty I won't hang out with, but a character I might create O.o Lol. Hmm... Some of the parts of her pose seem a little... Uh... Unnatural. And one of her eyes seems to be a little bit too much to the left... But since I know you do mostly the coloring... Great job, yes? Fire and rain, I love the way you can shade things like that. I can't color, as we already know O.o

Yeah, I guess you're right. And the lineart is hard to mess with--once changed it usually changes for the worse O.o Lol. But I like the way you can bring the characters to life.

Oooh. I have a left-handed friend at school. She's an amazing amazing amazing artist (furbiez)--I think she's ambidextreous. Her right-hand drawings are pretty good, too O.o But, yeah, I know how hard it is to draw with the opposite hand. I've tried. It didn't work O.o It was worse than a grammatical nightmare O.o

A grammatical nightmare? lol I can kind of use both hands, but my right is definitely weaker.. when my daughter was little I used to color with her, and I'd use my right hand just for giggles, but I got pretty good at it after a while... ^_^

What do you have to do next besides cel shading? Well, I don't think cel or regular shading are any better than the other, they are just different.
What I think you need to focus on is the basic rule of shading, and that is finding where the light source is. That will depend on which parts of the figure the light will touch, and where they won't. Looking at a small figure scultpure and lighting it helps a lot!
Also consider putting shine on places you think they should go, and again, that also depends on where the light source is. Eyes are the shiniest part of the exterior body, and so the light will be more sensitive there as well (put one of those white dots in the pupils to make them come alive). Hair occasionally shines, when she puts on the right conditoner!
As for color, what you have now are the TONALs, the basic surface color that they truly are. The will change when shading is applied (usually in a slightly colder color, like blue, green, or purple). Look at photos of people and see that some colors are desaturated quite a bit in shadow.
When a character is in a background, or environment, make the character appear to be in that space by matching the general color scheme of the background. THIS background is very warm and dim lighted, so you can use that to make a color palette for her. Just remember that where there is light, it will always be lighter in color and MORE saturated!
Hope this helps!

Saturation of color has nothing to do with the amount of black or white in a color. It has to do with the intensity, the brightnest, how powerful a color is to the eye. If you have Photoshop, you can click on Image > Adjustments > Saturation, and the scale they have in the window that pops up shows you clearly what saturation means.
Glad to be of some help!

Hm, well since you like critic...The breasts arrent...you know, equal. Ones higher then the other. And even if those were baggy pants, they wouldnt fall like that. too broad, the right leg is suppost to bend inwards insteed of outwards. Fix those, and its perfect. i really love that expression, the coloring and the nice hand.
