Erikor was so nice to make this available to color. I have one more of her linearts saved and have been thinking about coloring it when the weather gets too cold to do much outdoors. I love her character and wing designs.

I haven't colored much lately. I did one page for a comic for some company in the UK, but I didn't like it. It was too dark and not my style. So, I told them to find someone else to color.
I just do photography now. I was thinking of coloring a pic to post here soon, but I never get around to it

Wow...how flowy!! The *wings*! I just *love* those wings! You really did that?! It's so cool! And maybe it looks a little more 3D (or rather, more *detailed*) than the girl herself, but she still looks fine. ^^ The hair is what hits me the most, though, you should have touched it up a bit more~
But it's still pretty! Pretty enough to make me click~ *+fav*

Lol yes, white is a bit of an odd color for hair ~ and doesn't count old people. xP Aaarh, that horrible sensation to loathe and at the same time, like a piece! It's very annoying, and it can tear apart your view of a work, like, sometimes you don't want to admit certain mistakes on a part, and so you keep it. ..I dunno if this is what you get >_> Oh yes! You certainly can do wings very well. *Pats* And no problem for the fave!

oddly, I feel the same way about photos too. I see some things in them I really like, and some I don't like so much. Deciding what to keep and what to scrap is really difficult. So, I pretty much burn them to cd and post the ones I really like here. Haven't been doing much coloring, just no motivation lately. There are a few good pics I have to color, but mehhh. I dunno. I'll get back into it though!

To offer a bit more of a constructive criticism, here are a few suggestions/comments...
- Save in a higher quality jpg, or preferably, a png file.
-You have a good command of folds and where they lay, keep up the good work there.
-The wings are amazingly detailed, lending a certain amount of... not dullness... but more noticable lack of detail to the rest of the piece. Im not saying that you should make then less detailed next time, just that you should try to lend that same amount of detail to the rest of the piece... I took a look at the original, and those seemed to be blank spaces just like the rest of the linework, indicating that you put a lot of thought into the wings, but not so much into the rest, almost like you did them first then got tired... Pace yourself...
-You have a similar style of hair as my friend ... Granted, it took her years to master the style, but she might be able to give you some tips better than I as to adding more strands without ruining the look you already have.
- On to the background... most often the most time costly part of a piece, and something I am also personally lazy on >.>; Filtered effects are generally frowned upon in the professional world, sweety... They are convienant, but easily recognisable, and professionals tend to see the use of them as a mark against the artist.
So! All in all, youre about 50-50, with great potential, the wings show that ^_^ Keep cracking at it, and Ill keep an eye on you and let you know if I note anything else you could improve on or have made good progress on ^_^

I'll try saving in png from now, I never thought of using that format but it's convenient enough.
The wings were done next to last. The hair was the last thing I did and I got a little lost with the long white/grey. On second thought I think a different color would have been better since it may be easier to highlight and shade a color other tahn white. I was thinking Storm's hair from X-men when I started, but it didn't turn out that way
The background.. meh. I'm not too happy with it, even besides the filtered clouds and touching them up somewhat. I was looking for a dark turbulent look under and behind her. I tried a few different things and none of them looked that great so I cheaped out and went with that.

thankies ^^ I'm trying different things with each set of wings I do lately. This one was supposed to have a little more blue-purple tint to it, but those colors wound up getting lost in the other lighter colors. Next time I do dark wings I'll try and bring those colors out more.
