I have to say, I love this picture! I love the vibrant purples for Fatespeaker and I assume the blueish(Or is it more gray?) tints for Starflight! They look great! Even though I'm not a huge Fatespeaker or Starspeaker fan, I still enjoy this picture a ton.

I don't mean to be saying I don't like the drawing, I love it! I'm just pointing out the color thing. I agree that all-black is pretty boring, yeah.

Also, I'm very sure that in Dark Secret, Fatespeaker was described as black dotted with blue, silver and purple scales. But everyone draws her purple!! Also, in Brightest Night it describes Starspeaker as "two black dragons were hunched over a map in the corner." Black dragons. BLACK.

well, if you want them black, then you go draw them black
I draw all my Nightwings with a hue, all black is boring and makes everyone of them look the same
If you don't like how I draw them, go look at someone else's picture, or draw it yourself
