OMG! This is bloody BRILLIANT! Which to choose...I don't know. I think the deadpan French waiter in the white blazer, not a very Victorian, but cute all the same. Second place to the nerdy astrophysicist, or worried scientist. He looks like he's discovering an astroid bombing down to earth.

Yeah, I think it's the expression. He's doing something different then the rest are. It's noticable and those sliding glasses off his nose gives the disguise more personality. The rest are very working-class: random waiter, random bartender, random French guy, random Scot, random bum, but the astrophysicist is different. He's the most unique of the disguises. That's why everyone like him.
Third favourite goes to the drunken bum. He looks like he has a story to tell.
My favourite of the Canonical disguises is the shabby, drunken groom (horse caretaker) in SCAN, the Italian clergyman with the HUGE nose from FINA, and Escott the Plumber from CHAS. For Rathbone's Holmes it has to he the wacky song-and-dance man singing "I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside" in ADVENTURES OF SH (I wish Rathbone could dance and sing in more films) and the limping seaman who was released from prison from SECERT WEAPON.
