This is shot from my garden, have been keeping this pot of cactus like 5-6 years already. Cactus have lovely green colors and pricky thorns to increase my DOF(something i'm working on)..This was shot using lotsa white paper reflecting onto the cactus because it's overcast at the point I was shooting this.

Levels adjusted
unsharp masking
contrast added and brightness up a little

I fell on a mini pricle bush once it hurt, go cacti, nice shot here, garet tones, lovley ps work!!

excellent focus on this, especially on the foreground object and the background. i really like the colours, the rich green of the plant againt the pale blues really works well. great macro

I like this one. I love the contrasts in the cactus and in the thornies. For some reason, it calms me down and brings a sense of tranquility.
--I could use a lot more cacti shots like these right now.

Beautiful shot - love those rich green tones that you've worked into the final capture, great job with the paper to reflect light - not too many people take the time out to experiment etc!!
These plants never cease to amaze me, incredibly complex and beautiful. Look at the symmetry of the spikes, nothing is left uncovered and the patterns they create are unreal. Have you had any flowers yet?
