Si hubiera tenido la oportunidad de hablar con Sparky, le hubiera preguntado "¿Y por que no hacer que este personaje estuviera con la pandilla?", lamentablemente la partida de Sparky y el hecho de que se acordo que nadie más haría el cómic (una muy buena y sabia decisión) me dejo con una pregunta sin responder, por lo que se me ocurrió crear mi propia respuesta. Estoy seguro que muy pocas personas pueden identificar quien es este personaje.-------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I have had the chance to talk with Sparky, I would have asked him "Why not to put this character with the gang?", unluckly Sparky's death, and the fact that was accorded that nobody else would do the comic strip (a good and wise decision), leaved me with an unanswered question, so I decided to create my own answer. I'm sure there are few people who recognize this character.

In the very first Peanuts sttip, 2 kids see Charlie Nrown walking by and say "How we hate him !"
Mutts, a brillaint strip by McDonell, had Earl & Mooch say "How we love him."

If you had asked Charles Schulz why not have Lila interact with Charlie Brown I doubt he would have did a story with the two interacting. For some reason Schulz hated to take suggestions. Anyway, I remember seeing the movie Snoopy Come Home and wondered what would have happened if Charlie Brown had met Snoopy's previous owner. Sadly that question was never answered by Schulz. You have done a great job at not only answering the "what if" but drawing in Schulz's style. A hard thing to accomplish. These strips are terrific and makes me wish they were a part of canon.

I know I'm late to this but there is an animated cartoon by Schultz were they actually do meet, so yes, the question WAS answered by Schultz!

I agree, he wouldn't have made an story, that's why I'm doing it.
I really appreciate your words, because it not easy to do this comics strips, not only because of the style, but also for the characters and stories, because we have know them all our life, we know how are Charie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, etc, so if something goes out of context, it wil be noticed, with Lila I have a little more of freedom because she only appeared in one panel (of 100,000) and two animated versions, so she had not really a personality we could to identify and say "this is wrong, she would never do that", that doesn't involves Snoopy.
I wish they could be, at least in an animated version.
