I agree! If Stephen Hillenburg is worried that the show wouldn’t be funny anymore, he needs to watch a little show called Futurama. They could make it the “slightly idiotic guy falls for the badass girl” plot, like Fry and Leela.

Yeah, like have it be a sort of plot point, like SpongeBob failing his driving test, Plankton not getting the secret formula, and things like that! And I felt the same way, like I wanted them to kiss already 🙄 but when it happened I was like 🤯 and I thought, “Huh. Maybe I DO have a chance...” Although none of it came true so far for me, I want it for my good buddy, SpongeBob, or more accurately, Miguel Pescado wants it for his good buddy, SpongeBob, cuz he’s the perfect wingman 😉👌
