Sapphire was later killed by a Wyrsa. She had attempted suicide in an attempt to escape the grip of her drackenwolf mate. She held a gun to her head when it approached her. Seeing that death was already choosing to take her, she dropped the weapon and let the Wyrsa take her life. Unfortunately, her pack had come to rescue her. Her pack consists of Aramina, Eve, Ariel, and a symbiote bonded to Aramina named Iridum. The Wyrsa tore Ariel's eyes out of her sockets, leaving her blinded. She's crushed at the loss of her lover, Sapphire. But even without sight she can feel her spirit.
