There was a loud ringing filling your ears; it was drowning out the faint noises going on beneath it.
You could hear screaming, wailing, yelling, shrieking, and crying. Your vision was blurry and there was lots of smoke, but you could still make out the scene.

It was bound to happen, seeing as your pilots had turned into Twitchy-Headed, undead monsters.

It seemed you had fainted after Ben had disappeared and Lon had walked off, leaving you to your own devices. You slowly sat up, your phone flopping out of your hand and landing on the dirt with a thud. You looked at it through half-lidded eyes, still trying to collect your thoughts. Your head was throbbing and aching, and you were filled with a sickly feeling.

The screen of your phone was dark, completely black. Red letters were glaring back at you, saying "Eurydice." It stayed like that for a few more seconds before putting on a short salt and pepper show with white noise. Then, the screen went black and shut off.

You simply blinked at it, silently hammering the name around in your thoughts, as if you could gain information from it. You couldn't pull up anything in reference to the name, and silently cursed yourself for it.
But then again, you had just suffered through a few traumatizing events- you would certainly recall some sort of information later on.
At least, that's what you kept telling yourself.

You stayed eaten up in your thoughts for a while, ignoring the ongoing chaos in your surroundings until someone tripped over you. They ran over you, kicking your knees and falling into the ground next to you. You jumped to your feet and quickly hobbled backwards, slowly realizing that the man that had tripped over you was screeching and on fire. As you tumbled backwards, you fell back on your bottom and watched the man scrambled back onto his feet and began flailing and screaming in all directions.

You had been pulled back into your surroundings, back to your current reality. You slowly began to take in all the chaos surrounding you.

The plane had crashed, and you started to realize that to it's full extent. It had crashed into the middle of some open field. A few acres away, the field was surrounded by woods. The plane itself was split in half and on fire, and so were several of the passengers. Some of them were moving wildly; some weren't moving at all.

The passengers...

You blinked, momentarily confused. Certainly, you remember boarding the plane and seeing the other passengers. Certainly, you remember them all disappearing suddenly, too. It was right before Aria had...

You choked a little bit, and quickly scrambled onto your feet again. Your breathing was heavy, and adrenaline began pumping through your veins. You took in your surroundings a second time.

It was night. The clouds were thundering, and the desolate field was only lit up by lightening and the plane's fire. An eerie, unnerving silence began to take place and you could feel yourself in cold sweat and shaking. You could see several passengers lying on the ground, dead. You could see one or two of them running and getting lost in the woods. You could see the sickening sight of a few succumbing to the flames or their injuries, slowly falling to their feet. You could see a few that had already been lying on the ground, unmoving and completely lifeless.

Then you saw them all rise back up, in some sickening crucifix-like pose. You could see awful, thick, slimy chains appearing behind their backs or out of their torsos, inky black feathers swarming around the corpses. Their faces were all severely distorted now: large, empty black eye sockets with mouths to match, holes and tears on their cheeks, all oozing some thick, dark, inky substance.

With a loud, sickening crack, all of their heads began to move rapidly in all directions and angles. The passengers had all become a wild pack of the very same monsters the pilots had become.

Even worse, slowly making it's way at the head of the pack, the only one with a still skull, was your deeply beloved best friend Aria. You could see her body was still bloody and was half burnt from the plane's flames; her face was just like the rest of the pack of monsters.
Save for one, small detail.
Inside those completely lifeless, empty eye sockets, were two small, white irises. At this realization, her skull began to twitch rapidly and awkwardly, slower than the rest of the pack's.

You fisted your clammy hands and held your breaths for a few seconds, though it honestly felt more like hours.

Thunder clapped loudly, and Aria, as well as the other monsters, ran towards you. They were much faster than you had anticipated. With a shriek, you quickly spun on your heels and ran like Hell towards the forest. The monsters followed.

Your phone was left behind, completely forgotten in your moment of panic. As the pack of monsters bolted after you, your phone lit up. It was spewing a mess of all sorts of bright red numbers and symbols. The only clear message was the brightest text, blinking and reading the same name as before:

Eurydice.
