An absolutely incredible photo! Though now I'm quite curious. How Did you manage to enhance these photos so beautifully? This and the other Disney castle picture you took are almost achingly beautiful.

Thank you so much! It means a lot.
It's called HDR Photography. I'm not great at explaining things but I'll give it a go.
You basically take a series of the same scene while doing exposure bracketing. One photo with regular exposure, two with higher exposure, and two with lower exposure. Then you merge them together and what it basically does is expose all of the light and you can edit the tones to how you like. I use Aperture to do this, along with a photomatix plug-in. You should research it, it's a really fun thing to do and it gives you stunning results

Thank you very much for the explnation. I haven't heard of this before, but it does sound like fun and yes, just by your examples the results definitely ARE very stunning! I will indeed look into trying this technique and see how I do with it. I do agree with you that Canon makes great products. I have had an old Canon AE-1 manual SLR that I have used and loved for years and am quite reluctant to give up, but with the Canon EOS and other digital cameras that are now around, it's time to retire the old girl and go to digital.

No problem! You'll have to let me know what you think of the technique, I'd love to see some of your results if you do try t!
oooh I do love Canons manual SLRs! I have quite a few of them.. the AL-1, T-90 and T-60. The rest were destroyed in a fire though. Digital really is the way to go. Rebels aren't bad to begin with, I'd go for a T1i or the new T2i.. Good luck with everything

Thanks for the advice on which version of the EOS might be a good one to go with. I'll check them out.
Have a great one your way!

This is gorgeous! My camera doesn't shoot in raw, so I cannot use the HDR option in my Photoshop elements but have to say you did an excellent job with this! Am SO happy to accept this into #disney-parkhoppers
