Description
So... this is my contest picture for the Requiem Mask Contest byrequirements: One character of Requiem Mask, and only one color shade.
I used Erik, and the color shade is purple.
He is lying at an old tree, looking up to the star sky, as suddenly a shooting star passed by.
Maybe, if you look at the tree, you know what he is wishing. (There is a heart, and in it E + C) But he won't tell, because then the wish never comes true.
Time: 3 hours and 51 minutes... But hey! I made a break

Ahm... Good question! Maybe Erik himself doesn't know, and he wishes who he should choose?
After all, both, Chelsey and Christine, are pretty and wonderful women.
But I thought of Christine when I drew it... so yeah. For me, the C stands for Christine. But what C stands for Erik, that is a mystery that we cannot solve!

I don't like any Christine - not Christine in Leroux' novel, not Christine in kays novel, and especially not the Christine in the movie and musicals!
I am more the Chelsey style or... someone who wants to see the soul, and not the looking.

Aynways, i still cannot like Christine. "Oh yes, Erik! I will come back, and I will be with you and bla bla bla" and all of that just to leave him in the end! That's cruel! Why long and painful and not short and easy...? I mean, for me she just played with Erik! Poor Erik...

Oh I plan to read that book, I've heard so much about it haha. And she does that? (I've only seen the musical/movie and started the original novel). Aww poor guy! So far I guess I just see Christine as someone who means well but is really naive and doesn't understand much haha. Maybe that will change once i've read the books.

For me, she just played with Erik...
The movie and the musicals doesn't really have something to do with the original Phantom... in the Movie Erik (who hasn't there a name...)) only has a bad sunburn. but in the novel, he looks like a skeleton, a living corpse, covered in death.
Not only a little red mark on his right side...

I didn't really understand Erik's deformity in the movie. Half the time when he takes off the mask it's just half of his face that's "deformed" and then other times when Christine rips it off he loses his hair and everything and I DON'T GET HOW IT'S POSSIBLE. I mean he could have a wig but the scenes show him holding just his mask so that's out of the question. ANYWHO. I digressed. The way I envision him is a combination of how he appears in the movie and the book. I dunno, my brain est weird. (:

The thing I don't like in the movie is the actor...
THIS IS... OPERA or what? (because Gerard Butler said THIS IS SPARTA in a movie...)
Erik is a friggin corpse-skeleton-boy-man-thing-dude! But still, he is so charming
And the voice... just because Gerard looks good, doesn't mean he is a good singer... See, I am from Germany, and the voice actor has such a FRIGGING UGLY VOICE THAT I GOT HEAD ACHES OF HIS SINGING VOICE 
The only one who can sing in the movie (in german) is Raoul! Now seriously...

oh i know. The entire time I could ONLY see the Sparta guy. And I know what you mean by Erik being charming. Haha, he's such a gentleman despite everything.
And I saw the broadway first and I liked the actor there. Did watched the German dubbed version of the movie? I didn't mind Gerard's voice in the English one. Maybe it's just me.
