I wanted to try a new way of shading my pictures, looking more like the professional pictures out there.The picture itself was a speedpaint, all in all taking me about 6-7 hours or so. Naturally it took longer than necessary seeing how i tried out a new style for the first time. Thus, the new art style is not optimized yet, but feel free to leave comments whether you like this direction more or less than my current one. :3

Progress. Technique wise. I think there's nothing wrong with blending cel and soft shade like this. Please remind me on Skype, and I have two youtube clips I'd like to show you.
Distribution wise, I think it looks almost perfect too. I'm thinking the light source is somewhere where the viewer is, maybe slightly to the right of the viewer (Dalia's left, so, slightly above and behind her to the left), and in that case, I'm not sure about the light on her upper lip. I think it's called the philtrum ridges, I think you should distinguish those (those two line running from nose to upper lip) in this picture, as the rest of the picture has a slightly more realistic sense of shading, while the upper lip looks more comic. Like Simpsons
But seriously Dalia, it's a beautiful picture, and I'm proud of you. So proud, I won't mention that you finished this one rather than my picture
