Description This is my attempt of a heaven-realm for s world "Felarya". I would also like to thank him for giving me advice on how to take on the background, those links really helped me a lot! Those who followed me create this picture sure remember how much pain in the butt those islands have been. Anyway, I really love how this turned out, especcially with the golden light and all the details. ^.^

What you see here is my angel character Juliana enjoying herself with a human in a surreal heaven realm. As you might have noticed, the proportions seem to be off, but this is intended as those angels are supposed to be LARGE.

Of course, this picture is not related to any kind of "real" religion, so no offense against any religion is intended, just to make sure. though I wouldn't mind if heaven proved to look similar to this. ^^

This is such a striking image! Visually the idea of floating islands stretching into the horizon is a very evocative one. I love the warm colours you've used here and the effort that has clearly gone into bringing everything together. In the forefront you've done a brilliant job drawing and colouring the angel character. She looks so calm and peaceful! This is definitely impressive stuff which I'll be sure to come back to again and again for inspiration

Wow! This is beautiful! This is a wonderful vision of what the place might look like - floating islands are always cool, and they seem somehow very appropriate here.

The colours and lighting all just bring about this wonderful aura of peace and mysticalness and... other stuff you'd expect heaven to have in it. Amazing!

So how does the sun set in a place with no horizon? I suppose when it reaches a low enough angle the "top" would be in the shade. For that matter I just thought of this, how does Felarya in general have a day/night cycle? It shouldn't have a star because it's just a flat land mass floating through dimensions. It's been said that if you go high enough you actually reach the "end" of Felarya, rather than space, and then you get ejected into another random world, so there's even a height limit to take into account when you actually explore the idea of a sun. If the star for Felarya were to just barely fall within that limit it would most likely either be way too close for any life to not be burning alive or too far for anyone to reach the limit and therefore escape Felarya without having to spend a VERY long time on a spaceship.(If you get desperate enough anything's possible, but come on.) And anyways because of the whole 'flat land mass between dimensions' thing it would make it impossible for a day/night cycle because the star would have to move, but if it moved it would be lost since moving outside the bounds of Felarya would mean it would get teleported to another world. Perhaps the solution is that the star's set course does not take it outside of Felarya but to a different location inside it? Maybe where no one can see it, like underground. This would certainly make an interesting premise as to why the hell realm is so hot, or maybe even why it even exists in the first place. But even so, that would mean that Felarya goes much much MUCH deeper than anyone would ever think possible. So once again we run into a boundary problem. If I were to use our own Sun as an example, it is millions of miles away from us at any given time. If we were to get much closer we would all burn to death. (If we had a smaller Sun it might somewhat alleviate the problem but that's a moot point. Felarya has a yellow star, like our own, so there is a limitation on how small it can be, and therefore how close it can get.) If the Sun were underground beneath your feet (ie. close to the opposite side of the planet) it would almost instantaneously vaporize the Earth and you along with it. The ground itself might help insulate from the extreme heat but there is still a limit on how close it can get. The hell dimension is very hot in the first place. Able to melt and keep liquid certain metals and minerals, if the art of it is to be believed, which would make it very deep. You would still have to go through, at the very least, hundreds of thousands of miles down from the the bottom of hell to reach what I assume would be a very hot, very melty bottom of the world, after which you still wouldn't have reached the sun.

...
Of course none of this matters because
---
tl;dr?
I'm a very over-analytical person and . Thank you for your time.

Oh! And also I really like this piece. The corona effect is nice, the ground on the closest island and the tree on the second closest look a little neglected but still very good on everything else, the little touches get me. I don't think Juliana could look any better if Karbo himself drew her(the halo is a nice touch btw), and of course who could forget

Wow, that's a long comment! ^^

So as for the position of the sun: I don't really know about that in Felarya, you'd have to ask its creator I guess. ^^ Since this realm is not in that world, its rules of "no sky" don't apply here... Heck, technically no rules apply here as we know them!
The sun setting without a horizon functions because basically there is a horizon: The bottom layer of the clouds. I see the sun rotation around this world in a vertical way and while the sun sets, the atmosphere bends the light as we know it before the sun drops underneath that layer of clouds, leaving this realm in some sort of dim twilight as some of the light still manages to get through the clouds. well and then there's the moon(s) as well of course.

About the background: Yeah, I see what you mean... Maybe I'll improve said places, maybe i'll prove to be too lazy for that, we have to see. ^^' But thank you for the comment about Juliana - And

Yeah. Sorry about the essay. Sometimes I go off on a tangent and I don't know where to stop. It wasn't meant specifically for you, it was just a question in general.

To be a realm of Felarya it would have to be connected to it in some way specifically. Since Felarya is it's own dimension the realms of heaven and hell would either have to be spatially connected to Felarya (I'm assuming hell is deeeep underground.) or in a dimension parallel to Felarya in that they would have the same properties (in relation to boundaries and escaping) and have their own portals to and from the mainland.(What I'm basically saying is that my argument still stands regardless.) Based on this picture of the heaven realm I would guess that it's either it's own dimension or lyes on the outskirts of the mainland.(Specifically in the direction that the sun sets.) It makes sense since the mainland of Felarya is a floating continent sized island. The smaller islands in the heaven realm might've just broken off but remained floating. At least that's my take on it.

Goddammit, I did it again. >_<

OH WOOOW! That's just simply stunningly amazing Amaroq! I really love what you did here with the light or sun down in the bottom giving a warm evening sunset tone and the stars above. Great work with the glare from the sun, those islands for all the trouble they gave you ended up turning out great in the end.

Juliana looks perfect sitting there on her floating island with her unnamed human. I like the skin shading you gave her in proportion to the light. Nice additions with all the other angels flying sitting and lounging about to.

Bravo Amaroq really great work.
