Thematically, I like the piece. There is something creepily batshit insane about it that tickles me in the right sorts of ways. The idea of someone smiling lovingly while tearing their own heart out for you is playfully appropriate to this sort of art in ways that I don't think most artists I see even try, much less capture well. The look we have in the femme's face is just about right for a combination of insane and anemia from blood loss.
Technical notes: You might extend her upper arm a bit higher in future. Her shoulders are very large. The pinkies also seem a teensy bit too long, given that the pinky generally comes to the ring second knuckle. However, I don't know that the intention here is anatomical correctness so much as the playful themes involved. In some way, this is a piece that doesn't live and die on its technical merits so much as the imagery it's toying with and the sentiments behind it. If I'm reading them right, I think you did a good job capturing those.

See now, that's true love. If all love were as gorey as this...I might reconsider it. I don't know what you use to color (looks like copics and white gel pen....but I could be wrong), but it's effing amazing. Very straight forward technique, it looks like you're very comfortable with them. now the color.....eye candy galore. Fuck yeah.

Your work reminds me a lot of Robert Crumb; In fact, the style and way you color is eerily similar; Are you a fan of his? I wouldn't think so, since Crumb was a popular, indie comic artist. . .in the 1970's.

I never read the comics (They came out well before I was born, it seems like), but as a 12 year-old my father sat me down and had me watch a documentary about the guy; A lot of his work mixes elements of gore and eroticism (Much like yours and the Ero Guro movement) which is a bit more extreme than I like (He talked about purposefully killing off the main character to a comic series some network had picked up and turned into a kid's cartoon; His feeling was it wasn't for children--I have to agree.) The film is called Crumb and came out in 1994 (Which is when I saw it on tape) so you may have difficulty finding it, but it's worth seeing; It educates one very well on Crumb himself and his work. He was giving a lecture on indie comics in my area last year, but tickets were pricey and I missed it :/
