OK WOW, this took really long..(and I had to put off an essay for this LOL)APOLOGIES FOR GIANT WALL OF TEXT. I AM A TOUHOU NERD.
So this is my entry to ~ I did a Yume Nikki and Touhou crossover~
So I drew (this was kind of based off the ending of Yume Nikki, where the dream creatures appeared in 'reality.') Maribel unintentionally opening gaps to gensokyo and her 'dream' denizens entering 'her' world.
I decided to cross over Yume Nikki and Touhou because OMG THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE TWO ! There's ALOT.
Ok so anyway the characters:
Maribel= Madotsuki (they both dream, explore their dream world, 'lose themselves' in their dream world, gather items from their dream world, and write about their dreams.)
Flandre = Poniko (cute exterior but can turn scary and insane as easily and randomly as a flick of the light switch, ALSO BLONDE HAIR PONYTAIL )
Satori/Koishi= Monoe/Monoko ('normal' but cold, distant older sis seperated from 'disfigured' younger sister)
Shikieiki = jellyfish (appears whenever someone is dying/dead, foreshadows death)
Nue=masada (black clothes, spaceship)
Chen= Cat effect (....cat. Also she is loved by all~ CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNN~<3)
Myon= Nopperabou (...faceless ghost.)
Pagoda of Bishamonten = Lamp effect (they're both lamps)
Letty= Yuki Onna (Letty is a Yuki Onna XD)
Little Suika = Midget Effect (cuz they're both small :3)
Rinnosuke=Shitai-san (he's one of the only guys in the giant cast of characters)
Aya/Hatate= Toriningen (They're birds AND THEY'RE TENGU, which have beaks or long noses as their defining characteristic. IT FITS SO WELL)
Orin=black cat (She's the only character portrayed as an actual black cat in Touhou, this is the cat found on the roof of the mall in Yume Nikki)
Sleeping Terror Yuka= Kamakurako (Both are sleepinggg...I wanted to draw Komachi for this role for giggles but DGSDMFSDMF I COULDN'T RESIST THE YOUKAI MOE)
Rin Satsuki= Mars-san (my personal favorite: they're lost in the deepest depths of the game/dream, forgotten.)
