AKA what happened if the ruler's sibling/relative ended up ruling due to different events. Also gave me a chance to give certain characters a proper design.

I've been thinking of maybe doing a poll to do one tapestry for one of the alternate timeline rulers...

Daffodil, the Cruel

-Rather than pass the wand to Dahlia, Queen Elenia instead opted to have Daffodil punished by restricting her access to outside the castle and monitored more closely in her Wand Training. Dahlia was instead sent to live in the Lucitor Kingdom to avoid her half sister's harassment, accompanied by Cadence Shores and Alcott Clover.

-Though Daffodil ceased her abuse of the wand, this was only to prevent more punishments from her parents. After a few years, Queen Elenia asked Dahlia if she was interested in returning; Dahlia, having established a life for herself in the Lucitor Kingdom and having just been engaged to Alcott, politely rejected.

-While Dahlia's absence and Daffodil's crowning appeased some of the Mewmans, no one was prepared for what her rule would bring. Queen Daffodil was still just as prideful as before, and her sense of superiority led to her insulting the royal family of the Nirian Kingdom at an event. This led to the Butterfly Kingdom's longtime allies declaring war.

-Queen Daffodil's overreliance on her own power and poor strategies led to the Butterfly Kingdom being gradually worn down by the conflict. Despite her own soldiers starving and growing weaker, Daffodil refused to apologise for instigating the war and was even more resistant to surrender. If soldiers did not fall in battle, they either died from starvation or malnutrition, or outright fled the Kingdom with their families. Daffodil was also responsible for overtaxing the people to maintain resources for the war; even the nobles that had originally supported her objected to her actions, but to no avail.

-Queen Daffodil's preoccupation with the Butterfly-Nirian War also caused her to neglect her husband King Dasite, whom was more of a figurehead that she didn't listen to otherwise. Though Charmae was still alive, Daffodil's pride was so out of control that even she no longer had any hold over her granddaughter like she had in her youth. Elenia and Daniel, having been exhausted by events, by now were confined to their room and unable to do much.

-Daffodil only had one daughter Arcadia. Her child would be less than two years old when Queen Daffodil was finally killed after another massacre in battle, refusing to bow even to her last breath.

-After Daffodil's brief but incredibly destructive reign, Elenia acknowledged that she was in no shape to rule again and persuaded the Mewnisters to turn back to Lady Dahlia - not that they needed much convincing at this point. By now married to Alcott and having a child of her own, Dahlia willingly returned to the Butterfly Kingdom to fix the mess that her half sister had left behind, and ended up ruling as regent for a number of years. While Queen Dahlia was never as powerful as her prime timeline counterpart, she gained respect for her diplomatic skills and humility, as well as show of forgiveness towards those who had once doubted her. Ironically, Charmae attempted to get into her good books now that she was Queen, but Dahlia quickly saw through her ruse and rejected her, leading to Charmae ending her life the same way her prime timeline version had.

-Dahlia also became the prominent mother figure for Princess Arcadia, whom she helped to raise alongside her own daughter Tullia. Thanks to Dahlia's influence, Arcadia would become a much better ruler than her biological mother had been.

Solange, the Brat

-The night after Faye's disagreement with Glossaryk over who should receive the wand, Charade vanished from the castle without a trace. While the Queen made a show of sending out soldiers to find the Princess, she received much flak from the Mewmans for the incident - rumours circulated from Charade running away to the royal family offing her so that Solange would receive the wand. Regardless, searching was fruitless; many of the soldiers were also more sympathetic to Charade and would have refused to say anything to the Queen even if the Princess was found. Nevertheless, Queen Faye and King Angel now had their wish.

-It was all too clear that Solange was a far more unpopular heir than Charade. With her parents showering her with everything she wanted, she became accustomed to ordering others around; with her sister gone, Solange instead targeted those she called her closest friends, leading to other nobles shunning her. Ignoring others' concerns, Queen Faye and King Angel still desired to see their daughter succeed and sent over overseas to the Academic Dimension a few years after giving her the wand. Even there, Princess Solange gained the reputation of being the 'Queen Bee' - someone whom everyone disliked, but could do nothing about due to her Butterfly heritage and her parents' willingness to cover and make excuses for her. However, after her bullying led to a fellow student committing suicide on academy grounds, the school finally expelled her and blacklisted all future generations of Butterfly royals from attending.

-The news of the Butterfly family's actions spread all over Mewni, leading to the Kingdom taking on a much worse reputation than before. Queen Faye and King Angel were finally convinced to do something when multiple other Kingdoms threatened to break their alliances and trade agreements, but by now it was too little, too late. Impatient and infuriated that the time for her to be crowned would be prolonged, Solange murdered her own parents.

-Nineteen when crowned, Queen Solange deflected the blame for her parents' murder to a long missing Charade, mobilizing a dimension-wide manhunt. Along with this, Solange continued the legacy of her own mother, demanding the very best for herself and berating anyone nearby when she saw fit. As everyone disliked her, Solange ended up forcing her marriage to Patton Clover by falling pregnant with his child.

-Deeming the Butterfly family as a lost cause, half of the noble houses ended up deserting the Kingdom and eventually established themselves elsewhere. The remainder that stayed did so mostly out of concern for Solange's children. Once again echoing her own mother, Queen Solange aspired to pass her throne to her youngest daughter Princess Edeva, whom resembled her the most in terms of looks and personality. She neglected and mistreated her two other children, her eldest Princess Radella and her middle child Prince Thaddeus. Fortunately, the two would be taken care of by King Patton and the other staff.

-As the date for Radella's fourteenth birthday drew near, Solange blackmailed a servant into abandoning Radella in the Forest of Certain Death, extinguishing Queen Reverie's lights and unleashing a dangerous creature that would dispose of the Princess. Thaddeus was only spared from this treatment with the Queen intending for him to become a servant to Princess Edeva.

-Surprisingly, Radella survived the attempt on her life even without the wand, and returned home on foot, exposing her mother's actions and causing an immediate uproar. Refusing to relinquish the wand to her, Solange was eventually struck down by her eldest daughter, whom became the second Queen after Tasmin to receive the wand and crown on the same day. After Thaddeus caught Edeva trying to poison her sister, she was also expelled from the castle and forced to live as a commoner.

Summer, the Protector
-Willow successfully gave birth to Reginald's child, whom she named Summer Butterfly. Devoting all her grief into raising Summer, Willow nevertheless still found love with Neptune afterwards and still had children with him, albeit younger than they were in the prime timeline.

-Despite initial doubts about her place in the family, Summer was comforted by their support, including from Neptune, whom later officially became her father. Combined with the knowledge of what her birth father had done, Summer grew to possess a strong sense of protectiveness over her friends and family, as well as compassion for other children who had similarly been left behind by their parents.

-For a time being, some of the Mewnisters pitted Summer and Valentina against each other for the wand. However, Valentina turned down any rumours of her getting the wand, declaring that her sister was going to be Queen. Valentina would still go on to become a matchmaker in the Kingdom and marry Marble.

-Summer's hatred towards her biological father for abandoning Queen Willow extended to his return to the Kingdom with Grace and Elizabeth. Despite Reginald recognising her due to their shared features, the Princess refused to acknowledge him as her birth father and turned down his attempts at reconciliation. Summer was also angry at Valentina after it came to light that she had befriended Elizabeth and refused to talk to her for months. After hearing of how Elizabeth was mistreated by the other Mewmans for her parents' actions, Summer eventually came to terms with things and accepted her siblings' friendship with the girl. However, Summer herself would not grow closer to Elizabeth outside of a civil relationship.

- Unlike prime timeline Valentina's spells that focused on love and soulmates, Princess Summer's spells primarily functioned to protect and defend. Her most known spell was a protective ward that Summer could enchant on objects, that could protect a person from physical injuries and even curses.

-Knowing that Summer was guarded towards finding a husband, Valentina helped her in the process, and she was wed to Florian Laurel after her coronation. Queen Summer was also more insistent on lying with her partner on their wedding night, which led to the conception of Princess Maia. Though she started out hesitant to build a relationship with Florian outside of what was necessary, the couple did eventually fall in love and go through the same Heart Binding Link ceremony that Willow and Neptune went through in the prime timeline. In this time however, the spell was created by Summer with Valentina's input.

-After reports reached the Queen of a baby having been found abandoned near the forests, Summer made the decision to raise the child as her own as well, becoming the first Queen in her timeline to officially adopt. She eventually established an orphanage for children with no parents, and established new rules prohibiting people from recklessly leaving their children for dead.

Jadelia, the Constant
- Charlton and Cinder both survived the attempt on their lives but were severely injured; once it came to light that the culprit was Princess Helano, Queen Victoria conceded to pressure from her Mewnisters as well as the public to send the girl to the Lucitor Kingdom to be rehabilitated. Her cousin Jadelia was named Crown Princess and given the wand in her absence.

-Due to the girl’s inexperience with her sudden duties as well as magic, Victoria remained Queen for several more years as Jadelia trained. The Princess, though not exceptionally powerful, was far more controlled in her disposition. She was also somewhat meeker than Helano, not helped by the former Princess shoving her down a flight of stairs a few years ago, resulting in her being sent to Mewnister discussions and other social events to help gain her confidence.

-Compared to Helano, Princess Jadelia carried herself with more grace and exhibited more politeness in situations that her cousin might have responded to with violence. Despite Jadelia's attempts to remain inconspicuous in gatherings, her natural charisma made her well liked in social circles. Once Queen Victoria began to bring her to other Kingdoms to introduce her as the new Crown Princess, Jadelia also quickly endeared herself to the royal families and inhabitants there. Queen Victoria noticed a mutual attraction between Jadelia and Prince Calix Hivan, but didn't comment on it. Jadelia and Calix continued to correspond afterwards; when Calix visited the Butterfly Kingdom several years later it resulted in an engagement.

-With her partner and later husband hailing from one of the dimension's largest benefactors towards the Academic dimension, Queen Jadelia would focus on providing education to the Mewmans, and in particular even the poorer commoners who could not afford it.

-Throughout, Jadelia also periodically checked in on Helano. As the years had passed, her rehabilitation had been successful, and once Helano had returned a few years after the birth of Jadelia's daughter, her violent tendencies had mellowed out. Taking responsibility for what she had done during her youth, Helano formally apologised to Jadelia and promised to repair her relationships with her family. However, Lady Helano also rejected Jadelia's offer to confer a proper royal title to her in favour of wedding Walter Constell and living out her life peacefully with him.

-Queen Jadelia's daughter Rubinia was born a Star Queen, and with her parents' influence would later open the Age of Culture. Asyla was still born to Helano and Walter, and became Rubinia's closest friend and later a travelling painter.
