- A highly destructive child due to her temper as well as heritage, Artemisia was trained to restrain her emotions as well as channel them into other means. This gave Artemisia a gift for certain athletics, as well as a desire to protect others.

- The explorations of Queen Caerula decades earlier led to a gateway at the edge of Mewni that could function as a portal to other galaxies. While this presented opportunities for further discovery, it also meant danger.

- Every decade or so, it thus became practice to cast a spell on the gateway to prevent just anyone from opening it without authorisation from a new Mewni Interdimensional taskforce, established by Queen Artemisia. She also led it for the longest time, keeping watch over the gate with her teammates and preventing any potential invasions to the dimension of Mewni.
