Here's my version of the canon Soupina the Strange. Honestly though, I think 's version is my favourite : )

Her daughter is Festivia the Fun in my AU.

'Daughter of a shapeshifter,

Admist a war raged,

Because of her peculiar obsession,

Did they call her Soupina the Strange.'

Child of Enigma the Shapeshifter, Soupina was born admist a war, waged by Queen Enigma after monsters killed her mother, Queen Inka. While like any other concerned mother, Queen Enigma tried to keep her daughter away from the rage of war, Soupina actually caught on to it quite quickly, and accepted it pretty well. Sometimes, when her mother went out to fight, Soupina would cheer her on as she left. She was a very supportive and wonderful daughter, though it would later surface that it might not be so similar as Princess or Queen.

Even before receiving the wand, Princess Soupina slowly but surely began to show a fascination with soup. Not because of her name, which her father gave her after his favourite mushroom bisque, but just because 'she liked soup', or that's how she put it. She was seen mostly with those from the Corn house, watching them as they made soup. This was originally brushed off as some kind of phase or brief obsession or craving, or just the Princess acting cute. But after receiving the wand, Princess Soupina used it to make bowls and bowls of different kinds of soup. While, yes, they were delicious, people wondered what use that was. They were right in the middle of a war, and soup and combat had nothing in common. Some doubted that after Enigma's shapeshifting spell, that Soupina's strange soup spells would be useful. Out of concern once, Queen Enigma took her daughter aside and asked her if she knew for sure what she was doing with the wand. For some reason, Soupina immediately nodded.

The war raged on, delayed now that Queen Enigma had no wand and was unable to shapeshift, relying on her mewberty form and fighting skills in battle. The food rations in Mewni began to become lesser and lesser, and by the time Soupina was crowned, people began to resemble skeletons. The Queen had been troubled by this, and turned to her soup spells to come up with a solution.

Then, one day after her coronation, Queen Soupina passed through Mewni and began handing out bowls of magic soup to the people. It wasn't exactly the same as other foods they had eaten, but by now, Mewnians were glad they at least had something to eat. During this time, Soupina met someone and fell in love. Despite her still spending much time with the Corn family, she didn't marry someone from there: instead she fell in love with one of the blacksmiths who made weapons for Enigma and the army, as she continued fighting on the frontlines after giving the throne to Soupina. She visited the site to distribute soup, and met Nickel Flare. The two kept in touch over the months, and developed a relationship. The two eventually arranged their wedding date, which was delayed by a year after Enigma died in battle.

Soupina's soups were such that they could easily fill a person up in one bowl. If one bowl wasn't enough, there was no need to worry about rations, since soup came from Soupina's wand. While Queen Soupina had little experience handling a war; she left that to her husband; she looked after the welfare of her people. Many still referred to her as Soupina the Strange. They couldn't think of anything else, and the name just had a ring to it. But Queen Soupina never minded. Being strange, as she put it, was good to her.

Soupina later gave birth to Festivia Butterfly, and lived to see the war end.
