Hello all!I decided to draw all of the mane 6 as real ponies! Whoo! I've always adored the shape of short fat ponies and before I watched the show, this is what I had in mind. I know Princess Celestia is a little proportionately off, but I didn't use a reference for any of this to get the shapes down, just the colors!
I will take commissions for this type of pony starting at $5 for a drawing, $10 for flats, $30 for a scene with two ponies and a background, and $45 for more than two ponies with background and color. Pricing may vary for more complex design wishes!

How amusingly odd, most of the time I find MLP art drawn in a realistic style to be rather creepy, it tends to fall into a sort of Uncanny Valley. This, on the other hand, is actually rather quite adorable.
Celestia looks like she could really mess someone up though, Awesome stuff!

Hah, that is true! Far too many animators and artists these days stumble down to the unplumbed depths of the Uncanny Valley unintentionally. Now as for myself I rather like to explore the valley, go on spelunking expeditions and the like. It's a bit different for me though, being a horror artist.

Sometimes I will, but as soon as my lantern threatens to flicker out, I get nervous and run back! Eventually I will be more comfortable to tread in the Uncanny Valley, but until then, I'll stick with the safe and sane! XD

Just don't forget that when you do plumb the Uncanny Valley you aren't alone, for there is one who ventures there often. She can't be trusted though, for you see far too often
