I think 2. Vocaloids generally keep it simple with their color schemes. Miku is teal and grey, VY2 Yuuma is brown, white, and pink... and black, I think. Gumi is orange and red. So, I think the second one is closer to being a canon Vocaloid box design.

You can't just ignore the rules of a universe. If the clothing calls for minimal colors, you better damn well make the outfit have minimal colors or else you're creeping close to Mary-Sue traits. My low-blood fantrolls have really simple designs because low bloods aren't allowed to dress flashy. One of them wears a hat, and the other has a bunch of shiny jewelry, but he never wears said shiny jewelry because it will get him fucking killed. Anyway... yeah... just keep it simple, man. I like the simpler design better. The first one is an eyesore. So painful to look at. ;A; /honesty
