Yeah um..is this the right category? I'm just submitting this because nobody goes to my website at all..tell me if it downloads smoothly and if it works for everyone...... Um yeah..it sucks, never done a tut before, and its kinda basic so whatever..you don't have to use it just don't give me a shitload of crits.. BTW, this is fine for any version of photoshop. I used elements, which is really small and all so you should be fine with any full version. Enjoy...or not...Click Download to download the tutorial.

i have a question if i color the base with a brush and then when i go over that spot again that peice darkens i dont know how to stop that im using 5.0

Your brush is probably not set on 100% opacity, which means that the color the brush creates is slightly transparent. The color becomes more solid the more you brush over it. On the brush options bar, look for a meter that says "opacity" and change it to 100%.

This was very helpful! I am very pleased with my result, though my anime girls' eyes went wonky after all the hair I drew obscuring her faerie face. Great job!

you can just pick a darker color and then use the paint brush tool

Ah, you mean change the color of the lineart? I usually do that by changing the hue/saturation in either photoshop or painter but I think there is a better way to do it that I'm not fully aware of. If you want to know that maybe you should look at other tutorials and see if they tell you anything ^_^; Sorry about that~
