I think I screwed up the perspective on the right one...

Anyways, I decided to experiment with the way General's whiskers might move depending on how he feels.
The face on the left is supposed to be General when he's locked in combat (or angry). Notice how his whiskers are pointed upwards like angry eyebrows.
The face on the right is supposed to be General when he's sad. Notice how his whiskers droop like an animal's ears.

Also, to help with the way he emotes, I've subtly incorporated the bill of his hat to act like pseudo-eyebrows. I imagined that he'd tilt his head in certain ways to make the illusion work.

Personally, I like how both pictures are two different extremes. I can imagine General easily transitioning from one to the other.
