Great idea. Whats your inspiration for this vehicle? I take it that its supposed to be the Tau'ri version of the Tel'tak cargo vessals of the goa'uld and the Alliance, but from your description of its capacity its obviously much bigger.

Its basically a Drop ship. Its main role is to drop off soldiers to the battlefield along with mobile armor (tanks etc).
Some inspiration from the alien universe (Aliens)
It can also be a cargo ship. Just take out the seats inside and there is plenty of room.
