Sorry it's been so long since my last upload! I've been busy, between finishing off Uni, moving out of Uni halls, and starting some work for some other qualifications on the side. But I've finally gotten a burst of inspiration, and decided that i'd finally get around to my next submission!

Meet Peridot! This isn't the same canon Peridot from the show. My Peridot is an Era One Peridot, and so has no need for enhancers and has the full set of gem abilities, including metal manipulation. In my AU, Red Diamond chose to disguise herself as a simple Ruby soldier and fled to live on Earth with a Peridot, someone who she had grown close to after Peridot was assigned to assist her with the Beta and Prime Kindergartens. Peridot plays the role of the canon Pearl in the show. Developing a close relationship with Red Diamond/Ruby, and being forced to keep Ruby's secret from the other crystal gems (I was considering changing the name of the group, but it really doesn't have that much of a relevance to the story). She eventually takes on the motherly role to Ruby's child (TBA) just as Pearl did towards Steven.

I'm going to change the design of her outfit later on. Consider this her Season One outfit. I did take inspiration from Season One Pearl's outfit, since Peridot plays the same role. I accidentally gave her the same visor as Movie and Future Garnet, it was only upon colouring did I realize that. Oops. Again, this will be changed in later outfits for her. Also, her Gem is on the back of her hand! You can kinda see it!

I didn't use a base this time. I really don't want to use bases, but i'm not that great of an artist. I did this by referencing official pictures of Peridot from the show, along with a few other bits from other characters. It may not be the very best, but I'm proud of it!
