[Personality] He's rather laid back most of the time. He gets serious when he's trying to get a piece finished and has art/writer's block. Many a table has been flipped by him. His friends and neighbors seem him as lazy since he doesn't get up with the rising of the sun. Kou takes care to at least go to sleep when everyone else does though the effects of the lack of sunlight don't hit him as hard as other Hebi.
[History]
Kou was born to average hebi parents, ok maybe they were a bit on the poor side but it's hard to tell when the gap between rich and poor is pretty damn plain. He went through a phase when he was younger where he'd have to frequent the dental specialist to have his mouth examined. Unlike normal hebi, he didn't produce poison and his parents found this rather peculiar. His family tried to ignore this matter and focused his training on the more physical aspects of combat. Since he excelled in hand to hand combat, everyone ignored his lack of poison rather easily.

Well into his teens, his training with snake taming began. During this time he accidentally found out that he could produce snakes not actually sealed within him- these were black snakes and not organic. It was rather unnerving and he considered talking to his parents about it- or his teachers but since it wasn't happening to anyone else he got nervous and kept quiet about it. After all his instruction was done, he obtained a standard job as a guard. Not a wall guard, one that basically broke up bar fights. It got him money to get by but on his off time he'd continue his own form of training.

Similar with sealing actual snakes, he'd learned how to better manipulate these inorganic black snakes. He wasn't sure what their purpose was but they seemed much more practical than actual snakes. He'd still keep real snakes around since he had the feeling using the black ones was not the best idea. It was as if the black sealing snakes themselves were hissing- "hoe don't do it" at him.

1996- Participated in the Hebi -Tengu War. Didn't die and that was pretty damn great. Didn't get more than 2 kills though.

Later in his 30's- a dragon was born in the village. On this day his arms burned, the black sealing snakes began to come out on their own and urge him towards the dragon. No one else was reacting this way- he noted in the crowds. There was something wrong with him. Over the next decade he'd changed his occupation from card to calligrapher to further practice with his sealing abilities. Yet another dragon came just before he turned 40. Another urge to tame it. At this point information had been drifting about concerning dragon tamers. Apparently they'd been in a war against the Hebi and were on the losing side. It wasn't confirmed that the tamers were Hebi themselves but Kou had a rising suspicion.

If he was a dragon tamer.. he better damn well make sure no one ever finds out...

[Powers/ Strengths]

Able to create seals (magic- binding ones) which he uses to capture, store and tame dragons/ snakes with. They don't work on humans.
Shedding: They often shed their skin whether it be in order to grow or give themselves a more youthful appearance. They leave behind past wounds and may even restore lost tissues. The process is painful and cannot be done frequently.
Scale Hardening: Their skin is made of scales though they can hide them as to appear more human, the scales offer a layer of defense since they can further harden and increase their defensive abilities.
Snake Manipulation: Able to control all forms of snakes.
Solar Empowerment: They become more agile, powerful, durable, etc when exposed to sunlight. Abilities are overall enhanced.
Immunity to poisons. He can't create them even though he has fangs.
[Skillset/ Hobbies]
Skilled in hand to hand combat

He gets lethargic at night, he can stay up but he usually rage quits since nothing he draws ever comes out how he wants it to. His neighbors have filed complaints about his rampages.
He doesn't deal well with cold environments/ ice related attacks.
