I know this picture was posted before the autumn!Torin piece, and was apparently draw later, but I think it's pretty cool to see these two pictures as a sort of contrast. Both characters are esentially facing the same direction, are drawn during a season that's considered cold (although that depends on location).
However, Torin's was incredibly colourful and bright; very extroverted, in a sense, and suiting to his persinality. Here, both the colours and Kage himself are depicted as mild and almost understated, and definitely introverted. Even his pose is withdrawn. With a lot of pictures, we see this defensive side of Kage shown, so to see a picture where he appears pensive reveals another interesting side of his personality.
I dunno. I just find the contrast fascinating. xD
I absolutely love both pieces~
The wrinkles and folds on Kage's jacket look very natural, and the fluff/fur around the hood looks very soft.

Actually, the contrast did cross my mind. (That's why I posted the one of Torin, even though I think it's pretty crappy...)

That's the brilliance behind visual art; being able to tell so much with only visuals. And, being able to do so, makes you a very good artist.
If he really wanted to display his sheer manliess to the Torin--I mean the world, Kage would go out into a blizzard SHIRTLESS AND WITH BRASS KNUCKLES. For, you know, fighting the Yeti mafia.
