ARTIST COMMENTS:
This was a lot of fun to do. I used a reference image for the referee and the camera guy. The camera guy was from some random news image and the referee was from a Halloween costume I saw online. The wrestling scene and figures are from imagination. I actually think I can see a difference between the two. I honestly do not see this as my best work, of course, but I feel like I’m getting a better handle on creating my own original scenes. When I compare this to works were I have used a reference image or made from something live, it pales in comparison. I’m happy with the progress, nonetheless. Any progress is better than going backwards, I always say. he he he.

As usual, I can see many mistakes. Also as usual, I will try my best to note them and not to repeat them. I hope you find these minor and enjoy it. I also hope you come back to see my future projects. Thank you.

Just a general comment to everyone. If you notice, the referee has 6 fingers on her left hand. I thought I should point that out myself. He he he... Oooppss!

TECHNICAL:
Size: 14 x 17 inches (35.5 x 43.1cm)
Materials used: Ink for the outlines. Skin tones are watercolor except for the referee and the orange hair girl, I used markers for them. The background is pencil. Everything else was colored using watercolor pencils.

STORY:
Desperate to draw in bigger crowds the fight organizers bring in two pro fighters to do battle against two unsuspecting rookies. The fight organizers have paid off the ref. She will ignore the fight all together. The organizers told the two pro wrestlers to do with the rookies anything they want and everything that will please the crowd. Most importantly, they are to keep the match going for an hour no matter what.

In the center, the wrestler with the orange hair is getting the Reverse Texan Boot Seat applied on her. She’s been getting a beat down for a really long time with no chance to tag her partner. Her pink haired partner tries to do an illegal assist but is stopped by the other wrestler and they both struggle.
