Description This pose was taken directly from a painting by the Caravaggio school where Mary Magdalene is mourning the death of Jesus. Their profiles form this amazing parallel, she is alive, and he so motionless underneath in death, yet the only thing that makes them different in the picture plane is who is on the bottom.

no offense to the pose (death of Jesus/Mary) but this painting is so lick-able. Great job on making it so real.

This is excellent. I love the colour choices you have made and how you have brought emotion into this piece - well done.

Uh, this is amazing. Will you tell me about the use of the liquid? What are you portraying? I think your are very talented.

Thank you! I was very interested by your gallery as well, it seems we use some of the same sorts of color ranges (blacks, oranges, reds). Do you pour your oils at all? There is such a liquid quality that you achieve. I tried pouring oils a few times and it looks cool but it takes sooooooooooo long to dry.
In regards to your question-- The liquid that is dripping over the skin in this series of images is a representation of ecstasy, sexual and saintly ecstasy. In this particular piece, the space between the two individuals led me to become interested in the transfer of this substance, sort of a communion between individuals. The actual liquid I am using is honey, which I chose because many scholars believe it to have been the inspiration for the mythical food of the gods-- ambrosia. There's some more detailed explanation on the post that accompanies deviation Face3, going a little more into the thinking.

I'm not pouring the oil. I'm applying it straight out of the tube with a spackling knife, and then scrape it off selectively. I ADORE your stuff. You clearly have unusual talent.
