Dinner at the Kids Table!
The Acorn Scouts celebrate the Fall season with a big family dinner!
This is a redraw of an old sketch from 2014-15. It was originally called a “A Rockwell Thanksgiving” based off of Norman Rockwell’s “Freedom From Want” At the time I was doing a bunch of Acorn Scout parodies of Rockwell’s paints. This one was a personal favorite and I wanted to come back to it since many of the scouts have been through another round of redesigns. I also just want to see how much has changed in my art and with these old characters that are very near and dear to my heart.
I did switch the order of some characters. The dinning ware and somethings are a bit wonky, but I’m not worried. It was something I wanted to do for fun. Everything is hand inked traditionally.
Left Bottom to Top: Elana, Savannah, Yoko, Visolelah, Shaun, and Tama.
Right Bottom to Top: Flash, Kodi, Kyle, Iris, Dasha, and Crystal.
