Commission for ValravnaHad so much fun doing this piece and learned a few things about horns.
As always, done on my ClipStudioPaint Pro with my Wacom tablet.

Ah no, she is not from a video game! She is from my original story/world that I have been developing since childhood!

Woohoo! This looks absolutely beautiful! The hands are gorgeous. I love her fingers where she holds her dress. The combination of blue/turquois and gold is a combination I love anyway and it suits her so well. And the delicate fabrique/tattoo on her arms looks like so much work. This is so awesome!

Surprisingly, it took me only about 1-2 days to do most of the colouring, but then it took me several days making all the details!
That golden thing on her arms is gold lace, one of the ones I've made before. Mesh-transforming everything into place can be a lengthy process...

Why am I not surprised I would so love to sit behind you and look over your shoulder while you do all those details and the mesh stuff. I still can't even imagine how you do this. I only guess that I would go crazy half the way through! Your work is so awesome!

I'm trying my hardest to think of a way to work so that things don't take me days and days to make... but no luck so far. When there are so many details, there just aren't any shortcuts.

I'm so happy you like her. She was really fun to do. I've only once done horns before but they were in the shadows and didn't show much, so this was also educational for me, and I love "educational" challenges!

And see, that is part of the reason why I give artists alternatives for characters, so they can choose who inspires them. And beyond that, I want to provide freedom as long as they stay within the boundaries of the character - like with the horns here! If you didnt want to do them, I wouldnt have minded her not having horns. But i love that you drew them and that it was educational!!

Artistic freedom in regards to other peoples' OCs is awesome because sometimes another person can see something in a character that its owner may not have realised was there. Sure, boundaries have to be there so as not to make the OC too un-familiar, but too many boundaries can feel like a prison (at least to me). I like challenges like "here's my OC, do something with it".
