Commission work.I had to make five character sketches, out of which I only made this one. Not enough time. So I ended up making this fairy (after looking at my pixie painting). I hate the pose though. It's so, so typical.

What a delicate figure ... reminds me of tinkerbel from Peter Pan .... you are quite a dress designer by the way .. like the details on the costume ... this is going on my desktop .... off comes God of Wind .... i wonder how it might've looked if the whole image had been done in shades of blue ... maybe montonous ... but then you like blues ...

typical isn't always bad.
and in this case, you do a wonderful job at making what can be seen as typical into something that's stunningly beautiful! ~_^
the whole things comes across as oh-so-magical without being overly-so. i love the way you do clothes - all shimmery and pretty, and again i'm in complete envy of your watercolor ability.
first impression - maybe a bit too much straight out blue in the background, but on the other hand, the brightness of the colors really does the picture justice...
you continue to amaze every time... ^^

who cares if the pose is typical for a fairy? o.o It fits the picture and her expression. Didn't you say once that you had problems with facial expression? I think this one looks very good and expressive. And I like the perspective.

Welp... I dunno, I still find this a very typical pretty girl/fairy/any delicate girly creature pose. Aaand... em.. yip she is concerned. He he... I always feel weird placing my name all huge-like on my works (since I hardly ever sign in the actual thing... my name is usually hidden around something like a motif or barrel.) Anyways, thankee! ^.^ I'll try to like my work more, but it's still not perfect! Have you seen most of the anime gorgeous-nesses other's make (you included!).

I have seen those so called masters of anime drawings around DA..their work looks SOO perfect ..lines..background..everything!!...and yet..it has no life...it is just missing o_o'
