Absolutely GORGEOUS, Yama. So good to see your work up here again.
First off, I have to say how much I love dancing figures. They are the best representation of beauty there is. In this picture you managed to capture just that: beauty. It's a primal beauty, a dance that reminds me of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" (actually, I just put it on) in its rich, natural and feral mood.
Your anatomy, like always, makes my heart skip a beat or two. It's so alive, so full of energy. The fluff, the head, the hands, the tail, the feet.. every little detail catches my eye and doesn't seem to let go. I like that the anatomy's so animalistic; it helps tie up with the primal sensuality and strength of the dance. The colours, oh the colours! Rich earthy colours from a deep brown to a delicious cinnamon. The only word that can really define the scheme is "enchanting". Love love LOVE the fact that the only truly "bright" colours are the metallic rings and the stones. Really makes them stand out like the jewels they are.
Very interesting background. It looks... professional and abstract. I don't know how to explain it, but those are the words that come to mind. The dark colours help the character stand out, not to mention they also give the picture a sense of twilight, of intimacy or of sanctity.

Wonderful wonderful piece, Yama.

Yaay! It's good to see your excellent stuff up on DA again! Your work so totally owns, so the only crits I'll make are utter nitpicks, so feel free to ignore them The marking on his right-hand side of his torso seems to be lower than the other side, and the small bar marking on his outer lower arm is missing on his right arm. The only other thing is that the fabric doesn't look very bulky on his left ring compared with the right, but these are minor nitpicks; feel free to ignore. Just happy to have you back

The markings weren't meant to be symmetrical :] But thanks for the crit I'll keep that fabric bulk in mind next time.

With their silence, they condemn you. Cicero, I believe.

Thanks :]

It's good to see you submitting again, though I won't comment on much of your work (cuz it's still hard to find flaw in your art).

Yaaaaaay! Good to see you back. Very nice picture, by the way. I simly adore the fur and marking coloring; such neat markings, too. The coloring itself is simply beautiful.

Really happy to see you uploading here again, I admire your art

Neat picture, I like the lighting you used on him and the markings look lovely. The only thing I could slightly wanna criticise is that the legs seem very short. His left thigh is portrayed in an angle that shows it's not because of the perspective, at least it appears like that to me.
Apart of that, the loincloth is really cool. Fancy design

The two rings with the scarfish thing in between reminds me slightly of a picture Adam Wan did sometime, of one of his Citras dancing...

Kendavi are supposed to be rather short in the hind-leg department, because of the way they walk on both hind or all four paws. Or rather, their arms are disproportionately long compared to most species.. I see what you mean though, I did make them a bit short.

Thanks for the comment, glad you like it
