Deevlyn was born as the son of the Earl of Kensington and the Earl of Waterford's daughter in a through and through pureblood family. Thereby he already enjoyed in early years contact to England's and Ireland's aristocracy as well as the world of wizards. But he as well as his, tow years younger, sister were strictly raised according to England's tradition by a governess. He rarely saw his father, if at all only at weekend. This saddened him and he shut himself away. He read many books about magic when he hadn't lessons in Latin, Greek, History, Fencing and horse riding.
As he was seven he and his parents traveled for the first time to his great grandfather Draigon. There he went hunting with him and they found a little injured dog in the forest. Deevlyn insisted to take this puppy with him and begged his great grandfather until he was allowed to. He named him Shadowwind and took him with him to the residence of his great grandfather.

Meet with Damon:
Just after departure the family Mclacdy was invited to a ball where all important people were present. As well as the family Heriotsa. This was the first time he met the same-aged son, who introduced himself as Damon Thimothy Heriotsa. Their families were fierce enemies in the magical world since Deevlyn's father was a member of the Order of Phoenix and Damon's father a deatheater. Nevertheless Deevlyn was still fascinated by Damon and stayed by his side the entire evening.

Hogwarts acceptance letter
On the evening before 24th October, Deevlyn's birthday, his father was present for the first time to Dee's surprise because it was a thursday and usually his father wasn't at home then. So on this day the entire family sat down to have dinner together. When the clock in the room rang 12 times his father placed the letter on the table in front of Deevlyn.

“So now you're eleven years old, son. Old enough to read this letter. It arrived early this day in the morrow.”

Deelyn took the letter and opened it with excitement although he already guessed what the news would be. He felt joy in his heart when he read the letter. He had been waiting so long for his acceptance letter since his mother often told him stories about the school which both of his parents attended.

School enrollment:
Despite the fact that his father told him not to befriend with Damon whose path was it to become a deatheater like his parents were, Deevlyn noticed the boy on their first day in school and ran over to him. Next to Damon there were more deatheaters' children as well as Draco und his friends Crab and Goyle. When they saw Deevlyn coming over they blocked his way and tried to stop him. Draco asked Deevlyn who he was and what he wanted. Damon took the opportunity to answer and explained that Deevlyn was Finlay Mclacdy's son and how they met on a ball. He assumed Deevlyn thought of the two of them being friends because they spent the evening together.
As if his father's name was a catching disease Draco flinched and told Deevlyn to leave. Alienated by that Deevlyn looked to Damon who had already disgressed so Dee walked away sadly.
Then the new students were called into the Great hall and sorted into the houses. Deevlyn became a Gryffindor while Damon was sorted into Slytherin.

School years:
In the first year Deevlyn struggled to find a place in school. Although he liked the subjects, in particular Defense against the dark arts and flying class, as much as the Quidditch matches Deevlyn did not really get along with his classmates. One of the issues was that he learned a lot and was known as geek. He spent most of his time in the library because even in the common room he didn't like to be.
When the Gryffindors' realized Deevlyn tried to get in contact with Damon they avoided him even more.
His second year of school was easier for him because he had talked to Damon and made it possible for the boys to have classes together.
Unnaturally for a Gryffindor Dee was attracted to Dark Arts and very interested in it which displeased his father.
Damon and Dee became closer friends throughout the term.
From year three on people called them Twins-D when they talked about them. Because of Damon Dee found himself deeper and deeper sucked into the world of deatheaters causing him to become one when he was 15.

Shadowwind usually gets sad and starts to bark when Dee leaves his side.
