I still get a bit depressed when you fight Gaist and have to kill him.

Love it! I think Gaist was acually planned to join your team because there's concept art of him holding a scythe. He was probably my favorite character in the game. He was poetic, he spoke when needed, and he understood what was wrong in his actions.
