Story
Rain. Everywhere.

Kadar hated it. He wasn't at all used to this strange water that fell from the sky, and he didn't like it one bit. Coming from the desert, he was however used to heat lightning, so at least the sudden flashes and booms didn't worry him. Dante thanked his lucky stars that he had thought to bring along his raincoat and Kadar's waterproof rump warmer, which kept at least some of the rain off.

The trail was only eight miles, much less than Kadar's usual races, so Dante pushed him much faster than he normally would. Still, they were hampered by the mud and the poor visibility, so they mostly kept to trotting. Kadar was crabby throughout the entire ride, but he loved endurance racing enough that he pressed forward rather than fighting or trying to hide from the rain. It wasn't a fun ride, but it was satisfting to finish.
