I took this one while shopping in the market at Goroka PNG this is how one shops for produce there and their Bananas are the best I have ever had.They also had Roasted Peanuts on a little piece of News paper with Carrot tops and a slice of Ginger root that was so goodRelated content

Beautiful photo.
Did you have to do much post processing after it left the scanner? How high of a resolution did you scan it? it looks like at least 900ppi. Looks pretty clean.

It would have been most likely around 1600ppi and the only processing I did was dust cleanup so make sure the scanner bed is free of dust zero processing

Very nice indeed. I was scanning mine at 1200 or 16000, and the noise was just overwhelming on the basic image. Then several steps of post processing would ensue just to make it look decent. And often times that would fail due to color banding or some other problem. I have such a high interest because I have many many prints to scan.

THe scanner modle I have is epson perfection 2580 photo I paid $25 with free shipping for it refubished from epson and I have had no problems with it.

I would agree with you and thank you. So many of these women work harder than any two men in the states in their lives, and you can see the hard lines from that hard life. I seen a 8 month pregnant lady climb a mountain caring about 100 pounds in a bag that the strap was on her forehead rather than her shoulder like we would carry something like that

they do it all the time I was hanging with her husband in the back while she did all the work that is their culture as strange as that may be

Nothing wrong with scanning them. Nowadays.. with computers and stuff.. all media formats interlink. A lot of photographers that only used to work with slides at my local club now scan them all in to the computer to show them digitally... or so that they can print them out. xx
