Hi

Sorry I haven't uploaded anything for a loooong time! work related stuff is hard to post.

but YES! Finally squeezed some time out for something personal! This picture is inspired by a bunch of images of insects on the web, and even though I hated bugs, I thought they were super pretty yet scary.

I plan to paint a series of paintings 'insect beauty' after that, and so this is the first one- which is still relatively an old theme - Queen Bee. Hopefully I get more time for painting more of them!

btw I love how the bee society works! women ftw!

不过大部分人都很喜欢女王蜂，我有点纠结啊，因为是第一张，感觉后面的都没有超过它~但我觉得很大程度上因为她确实是女王啊，大家都爱王者吧……但我也不可能每个都画女王……

I love all three of your lady insects but this one, the Queen Bee, is my favourite. The margin is minuscule but your Queen Bee is the most regal and confident. You placed these characteristics in her face focusing on the eyes. I would leave a critique but I've already given you one. Isn't that enough. I prefer to enjoy fine works of art not critique. A critique by it's nature is a breakdown or witch hunt for flaws. I prefer to revel or soak up. Thanks again *yangtianli for your fine work. Rest. Recharge your creative batteries and shine upon us again. I'll be waiting with my shades.

I also find that the majority of people still seem to like Queen Bee most, I think because she is a queen and people are naturally drawn towards that kind of personality... I wanna create another "insect beauty" to overcome her though keep trying to beat myself...But it's really hard, haha, as she is already a queen! what kind of girl would beat a queen except a goddess?

I agree with you a Queen bee is difficult to upstage from a visual point of view. I think you put more work into creating a brighter environment for the bee and you could have done the same for the ladybug. By the way, the male ladybug does most of the flying. Take your time to research more. I find that gives my mind a broader visual spectrum to look into. Take care and thank you for responding. I hope to chat with you again soon.

You didn't make a mistake. Art is about interpretation and representation. I wasn't trying to point out your mistake just offering some food for your creative juices. I used to work in film and when ideas were thin we would research related ideas just for fun. It helps because eventually the creative tank gets empty. Relax!. Unwind. Go for a Spa Day. Get a manicure and pedicure. I do. LOL. The manicure and pedicure I mean. Don't tell my buddies.

thanks so much! I love to learn these knowledges, but I guess I just wanted to draw whatever I see fits that's what makes fantasy drawings fun

actually I did have a spa on my bday, it was AWESOME! XD I wish I have a spa next to where I live lol. but I can't afford it anyway I'm just a poor little artist I had oil massage, it was so good!! LOL and no I won't tell anyone.
