You're welcome Don, those Bantams do have a kind of british look about them, could be the size I suppose.

No doubt about their heritage. They are very small. I've always liked British car design, some of my favorite sports cars are British, the TR 3 and the TR 250 are my favorites.

Those old Triumphs certainly are lovely cars.

I always want one. I use to help work on a Spitfire at my friend's body shop, a sweet little car and a girl I was friends with had A-H, fun little cars. My friend Chris builds and restores MGBs, but he puts Chevy V8's in them. Imagine a 400 HP Corvette V8 in a MGB, it's scary. He's working on a MGB GT right now that is going to be wicked.

Ah memories ! I used to go out with a girl who drove a Spitfire,I used to feel like a king being chauffered around by her ! Those MGBs sometimes had Rover V8s I seem to remember, actually I got pulled for speeding on my bike by cops using a V8 MGB !

Yeah I always liked the Spitfire and GT6, very cool cars. The MGB's that my friend builds, he was putting Rover V8's in them until he discovered that the Rover V8 was based on a Buick V8, ever since then he's been putting GM V8 in them. I have some photos I took at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix of a sleeper MGB that he built with an LS1 Corvette engine. It look like you basic MGB from the outside, but under the hood, it's a different story. His current project is an MGB GT with an LS3 Corvette engine.

The GT6 would be a car I wouldn't mind , an MGB with a Chevy engine ! now that would be fun !

As always, nice work, Yankeedog. I wonder... Do people still race these somewhere? Maybe as replicas? (People race replica Cobras, so I wondered if maybe someone races these Bantam cars too.)

Thank you! Yes, you can still see some of the old cars racing on the vintage circuits, like the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix held every summer in Pittsburgh's Schenley Park, visit [link]
