Description I guess if you are going out to inspect the rails, you should go in style and what better way to go than in a 1955 Buick Special? I might have opted for the Century Convertible, but that's just me. At any rate this Great Northern Rail Inspection car is a class act!

I'm thinking that our friend Chris Edmonds over at Classic Trains [link] would look good in this.

Adobe Illustrator CS2, Apple G5 Power Mac, OSX Tiger.

What an awesome vehicle right there!
Today's inspection cars have nothing on this beautiful looking piece of art...then again almost none of our cars today have anything on this.
Sweet job as always.

To say the least - like the old electric trolly (mispelled?) - but lay some tracks and, and alternative energy or hybrid.

This is GREAT!! Love the colors too. I can't believe this was for real, how amazing is that? Funny thing, my boyfriend and I are actually planning on taking an extended trip on the Empire Builder for our honeymoon next summer. I think I've caught the train bug...

Thanks! It is pretty amazing that they had equipment like this. That should be fun! I'd love to take a train trip across Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to Philly sometime.

Totally. want. one. Heck, I'd throw away a few hundred Ks of cash to buy one, just to be able to install the track wheels on one.

Oh Man, Compare that to a Bland Truck fitted with Train Wheels, and there's no Contest on which You'd want to Drive...

Wouldn't you really rather drive a Buick? Of course the truck is much more practical.

Cool Don. Was this for real? Just because I never heard of it doesn't mean there wasn't one!

Rocky was always my fave logo. Santa Fe was my favorite road and I loved the Chief but Rocky represented the mountains I love.

Yeah Chris, it was the real deal! Custom paint job too!

Rocky was cool, both the cartoon and in the logo.
