Description
This 1:8 scale model is a design of passenger locomotive constructed for the Erie Railroad about 1875, though with details differences. It was built by William Lendrum, who was in the 1870s a machinist for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad at their workshops in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is believed to be his image depicted on the side of the boiler. The model has been part of the London Science Museum since 1880!
