it already has, its in sonic x, but theres a group who call them selves sonic x, but i forgot what it stands for and the was from of sam's speed rival/teammate but when sonic came along, he was angry that sonic was sam's new rival and tried to prove he was faster, but then sam kick him of the team so he joined sonic x

They already had Classic Sonic for 2D gameplay, and the 3d platforming was spot-on. Why make Modern Sonic use the Colors formula?
