AfA stands for Acting for Animators. This class forced me to improve my humans(only humans could be drawn) and I have to say this class helped me a lot. I still can't draw a girl for beans though.Yeah, I've been meaning to upload this cause this was part of my final project for class. I pulled two all nighters on this project. I have never worked so hard before.
The main goal was to make a story(3 key points) and try to make it sell. Meh, I got credit for my style and expressions...can say that, at least.
I suck at talking in front of people so I did choke during my presentation.
...err anyways, my story was just about a pair of Monster Hunters that make money, well, hunting monsters. They go after a desert Behemoth and the results don't end too well. (Thanks for helping me tweek the story =Astrozerk04
)One on the left is little Snarl who's a young, greedy hunter that wears the pelt of a common wolf. He weilds a hammer called Skullsplitter.
One on the right is Tusk, a seasoned Hunter that wears Ruby Dragon armor. He loves the thrill of the battle over the rewards. He uses his fist to beat monsters to submission.
More obvious I worked more on Snarl's design then Tusk. >_>
I plan to upload the middle key point since it was my favorite piece of the project.

Lots of people tell me that. I guess my nack is mascot characters. Not that I'm complaining there. Sometimes I wish I was in Game Art and Design.

I swear you could do art for future (wacky animal mascot looking games ie: spyro, scaler, you know...) games your work is pretty dead on with these concepts--i like snarls design the best (i'm pretty sure everyone else does too) tusk's pretty cool too, Monster Hunters eh and their mission doesn't go too well sounds like...well us when we play MH LOL great work, nice sketchieness too (your humans are improving)

XD I have a lot of ideas for a platformer game. If you ever saw my furball, Dreck, he's what I'm working on for an idea. Cute little furball that hacks and slashes.
The idea was actually based on what happened to me and Bloo in Tales of Vesperia. XD Hence why Snarl has a hammer.Yeah, they are like when you guys play Monster Hunter.

Hey that sounds pretty cool a hack and slash furball i can see him looking like medaknight a bit just running (rolling) around just cutting up everything he sees blood and eyeball's flyin everywhere lol--Heh sounds like you guys have quite the time, im getting that game next this coming tues (fina-friggin-ly) and i can't wait, sigh the MH days, and yeah they don't and even if they did maybe that was your style in the first place im pretty sure adults weren't on your mind

You've gotten a lot better at drawing human faces, see I told you you could do it. I have to agree with you though humans still give me problems especially at certain angles >_<

Humans are still my weakness, but I can now say I can do them somewhat. Wish I could say the same with females. I finally get why I can't draw them, but just wow. x_x A girl that can't draw her own gender.
I can't do bird and worm shots though.

I've notice a lot of people have difficulty drawing their own gender so you're not alone, subtle features are often the hardest (at times my females end up looking like males >___<

Always good to work on humans as well as the non-human characters, that's certainly something I need to do myself.
Nice work on these guys, I personally like Tusk here, nice design as well as a good looking demenor about him. Nice work on both their designs, good looking details and expression.

They evolve at level 25, least the ones on the forum have. I'm hearing getting to next level is a pain.

Heh. Thanks much. I tried to keep them to my style, but humans require a bit more "care" to animals.
Snarl was much fun to draw. I want to keep these guys for my portfolio...well, least Snarl.

I know what you mean. I can draw animals without a problem, but when it comes to humans, I literally have to go through hell trying to draw them. I've gotten the hang of it a little, but I'm trying to come up with my own style now. (Maybe Disney mixed with another toon)
They should both go in your portfolio, the more characters, the better. And if you know Flash, you can probably go ahead and try and animate them just to be safe. (You know how crazy the teachers can be at the school, lol)

Yep, humans are so hard to me and even though I draw a lot of bipedal animals, it still doesn't help with faces. I can't draw human faces, everything else for them isn't as hard.
The humans I have seen from you look quite nice. Upload moar!
Mixing them into your style is always the hard part. OMG with fitting them in with mine.
I think I'm going to also add my werewolf kid and zombie guy from this class in there as well. I love their designs.
I don't know any Flash, but animating Snarl would be so much fun.
