Being the coolest badass of the DCU is all well and nice - but there's always the danger you'll let it get to your head, and cross off the wrong people... This is what Floyd Lawton (AKA Deadshot) is learning - the hard way! - as a hard, amazonian palm is proceeding to turn his butt into a black and purple mess.This particular scenario is the brainchild of the lovely (lovely, wicked - AND a comics geek; what more could you ask for in a woman?!)

See, that's my point - they already have! People mention a few times that he only did it to save the others, and it's sort of just left there. Very sloppy writing, to my mind.
And, yeah, I'm on a roll... I'm supposed to be starting a new job next week, with a lot more money, I have a software start-up in the works, AND I'm spewing those muscle babes out like a mofo. Yup, now would be a good time to go down to the cellar, because I think the asteroid is about to hit...

as for Deadshot, he did say that he'd done it to keep them out of the fray to tarantula, but he never said that to them. I'm pretty sure they'll address it further in the next issue. Gail probably just wanted to get the immediate threat of all the villains on a race to kill them out of the way and set up the characters for a new arch.
