Description
This is a pair of Chao Earrings from Sonic the Hedgehog I made as my half of an art trade with *Kelzky (who made me super cute Leafeon and Jolteon plushies in return!)

The charms are completely handmade out of polymer clay with metal armature as needed, and painted with acrylics. The dot on the tops of the heads are suspended above the charms a little for a floating look. Each charm is about three fourths of an inch tall, as you can see by comparison to the nickel.

One of my favorite things about the Sonic series are the Chaos, so I was thrilled to take on this commission! The client wanted one with an evil face, so I decided to make the other one extra cute and shy for contrast. These were easier than I thought because I'd just recently made Poring Earrings that have a similar little dot on the heads, so I actually knew what I was doing this time, hehe. I'm just sad I still suck at taking photos, they were so much more adorable in real life!
