my fan art for a bit
This is my FAVORITE monster in Final Fantasy 12. They are the undead variant of Sleipnirs and can be found in the Nabreus Deadlands. They are also apart of the great treasure hunt to synth the best great sword in the game, the Sunflower (AKA: The Tournesol). Yep, you have to kill these until you get 6 War God Bands, which is an extremely rare drop, and they aren't exactly easy to kill without the right equipment and levels.He is in no way accurate, its kind of hard to draw a monster thats trying to kill you. lol! my poor party was getting the crap beat out of them all in the name of fan art! I wish you can pause the game with out it going black, but you cant so poor Fran, Balthier, and Vaan had to stand there and take what was coming to them.
I guessed what the frilly patterns on the head dress looked like, i can tell they are some kind of tribal swirly thing, but the friggin things wouldn't quit swinging their heads at me. I NEED an art book.... but no monies T___Tleynir (c) to Square-Enix

Sleipnirs and Gators are underrated monsters! I would have had them as marks, instead of lazy designs like Turtles and Rabbits. Pandemonium would have been much more impressive if it were a gator. Who's with me?

ummm you could set the commands to wait like it said in that other comment, or go to the Bestiary in your Clan Primer, i think they have a good one there. awesome pic, i love leynirs almost as much as i love chocobos and mistmares

If you make your Commands set to Wait, instead of Active, when you click X to start selecting actions, before selecting to perform the action, it will pause with everything still visible. I used that trick a lot. ;3

no, you can find them in the nabreus deadlands and you can get to them through the Necrohol of Nabudis. i actually let them beat up on on my characters while i took pictures of them on the TV XD

Oh, lol. But when I do something like attacking or using items my screen pauses. You should turn that on too, so you wont be beaten up and you can still turn the screen so you can see every side of the beast.

how do you do that? i just let them get the tar beat out of them they are high enough level that the beasties dot bother them much. but that would be nice to know.

I dont really know. I think you can do that at the start of the game, but i will search for a way you can change it when alredy in game.

I alredy found out. Its pretty easy: press triangle so you'll come to the menu. Then go to config. Then you'll see battle mode at the top. You have it on 'active' i think. change it to 'wait' and the game will pause as sson as you press x to select an action. I hope i helped you a bit ^^

I've made a little variation on the sleipnir. you can see it on my page. It aint as good as your leynir but its one of the firts things i have made on the computer.

My game paused everytime I pressed X in the fight to choose which spell I cast or something.
I know you can put that off, but sometimes I'm really glad to press X and everything stops and you go 'uff, what to do next ?' (really good in bossbattles

i don't really know what my fav.monster in FFXII is O.o i loved these giant dragons (mob hunt) and the white chocobo :3 and this other giant white monster (mob) i dunno the name... it was in the same region as the chocobo...
i just know that my fav esper is adrammelech ^w^

did you know that you can leave the area without starting over again (fight)? so i fought, saved, fought, saved and so on ...
you just have to watch out that he doesn't heal himself with regena when you're leaving^^

yeah thats what he kept doing. then he tripled his level several times and then cast death every turn on me and that was it.

the first game i played it was easy because i was lucky and got the Quikening (limit break thing) in just in the nick of time before he cast switch on himself. the send play through i am not so lucky so far XD i think his name is Zodiark

My problem was that the 1st time I played I only trained Vaan, Ashe and Bash properly... they were like lvl 80 or so... and the rest was lvl 30-40 XDDD

well, all my characters were lvl 99 other than Ashe, Penelo, and Basch at 83-85 but even with those high levels he kicks my butt if i don't get lucky and preform a MASSIVE quickening on him before he casts switch.
