Description
If there is a great example of Ymirestian engineering, it hands down goes to the Multi-Weapon Assault Rifle or M-WAR for short. It was designed by Kvido Sokolov Arnost and built by the Ymirestian Planetary Defense Force (Y.P.D.F). What makes this weapon so special is that it's actually an assault rifle and a pistol combined to function as if it were one single gun.The pistol, the M-WAR/P (Multi-Weapon Assault Rifle Pistol), can disconnect from the M-WAR and be used separately. You're probably wondering how the pistol doesn't destroy the rest of the M-WAR when it's connected to it and its trigger is pulled, huh? Well, the M-WAR/P acts as a key for the assault rifle. Slide it into the slot, it will automatically connect and lock with the rest of the gun and become the rifle's trigger. Without the M-WAR/P, the Multi-Weapon Assault Rifle is completely useless. Using another pistol to act as the rifle's trigger will do nothing and configuring the weapon to work with another pistol is a hassle that will take 2 months or more to complete.
Today, the M-WAR is the standard issue assault rifle used by Y.P.D.F personnel and is the replacement of the Rossi-Toscani Type 5 Battle Rifle. A weapon that also replaced the H.F.R Type-32 Assault Rifle, which was used during the Enclave-Consor War on Ymirest.
A new variant of the M-WAR has just past the prototype stage and is undergoing test trials as we speak. If it clears the trials with positive results, it will officially be adopted into the Y.P.D.F arsenal. This new variant is called the M-WAR A1 or Multi-Weapon Assault Rifle Advanced and reports say that it is a four-in-one gun than the normal two-in-one for the standard M-WAR.
