Description In the Cral continent of the Worvia planet, one of the aliens that there exist is the akuron. This is a large creature reaching six meters in length, displaying several distinctive features. It is an omnivorous beast holding its tetrajaws in a bignathan posture. Two pairs of jaws join together to form, respectively, a upper and lower jaw. These are attached by powerful muscles at the front of their head to engage in powerful bite forces. They have ever growing "teeth" that grow from deep rows of sockets across each jaw. These teeth regenerate and grow continuously, in contrast to the ancestral condition of having "teeth" that came directly from serrations within the jaw, which didn't regenerate upon damage and wearing. The organization of the jaws within the head limit space for the brain. The brain of the akuron is small and held right behind the jaw musculature. The eyes are internalized eyestalks that extend to the front to hold a good sight range. The neck mobility to the sides is reduced however, though the front pair of walking limbs have high rotational capacities, which allow the akuron to turn in order to forage or bite against a prey or an intruder at the sides. The last pair of limbs is responsible for supporting the body in the back, with a middle pair of limbs being held over the ground, with little usage. The tail is long and segmented. It is highly stiffened by cartilage bonds, but it is flexible at the base. The habitats of the akuron are swampy areas with open terrestrial environments. They enjoy a good portion of their time in water, and are good swimmers. On land they can achieve fast speeds, being somewhat of a worvian equivalent of a hippo.
