On the outside, it seems like he couldn't care less even one felt intimidated
or from himself feeling helpless and guilty deep within, certainly there is
nothing he could do about his intimidating outward personality, unless

BEFORE TOFFEE TOWN
Jio was born as an orphan and raised by a family instructed by the village elder

until the moment his crew came to pick him up, and eventually the old man left,
leaving him alone again. He thought everything would go back as it was like before,
Sadly it didn't happen, it became worst. When the village elders fall deeply ill and
passed on. The villagers began to chase him off the island, as there is no more
reason to keep him around.

That was the moment he felt despair, and feeling hopeless, he didn't know where
to turn or who to depend on. At that time, the old pirate returned just to rescue him,
from there he spent his entire youth till adult on board It was the best, he gets to
learn a lot of things related to treasure. If only it could just last longer, but sadly it
didn't until they found abandoned ship filled with treasure, the greed and betrayal
Quartermaster began to take its place. At first, he thought the old man was sick
and assumed it was an illness along, but after he overheard their conversation
between the Quartermaster and the captain, which he called Gramps, found out
he was poisoned and uncovered a secret truth. The captain was his father, he did
not believe until Gramps reviewed the similar tattoo or mark just like his around
his chest. Everything became clear in his eyes, Before he could act or say anything,
the greedy Quartermaster had pushed his father down the water in the stormy night.
Of course he jumped over, he always dreamed to reunite with his father. Who
would've thought he was with him all along this time, He could only manage to call
his father once before the water current takes him away. He was lucky to be saved
by a fisherman, despite his cruel fate, according to his father's last message, All
he heard was his father had left something for him somewhere on an island. But
first he'd to build a ship, and he needs money. The fisherman who saved him,
suddenly hands over a ferry ticket. Given the trust and opportunity, he's off to
board the ship.
