Alkaios first comes off as a cautious individual who tends to take the time to analyze his surroundings before acting. However, he is capable of acting quickly in the case an unforeseen event occurs. Whether those actions benefit or harm him is a completely different story. Although he is on high alert most of the time, this doesn't restrict him from stepping into the unknown; he is actually quite curious about many things. Everything he does is for the benefit of his vessel...to him, she is the only one that matters in this world and the only one who he will go to any lengths in order to protect. Due to this, he will dote on her, albeit in his own serious and calm way, putting her well-being way before his own or anyone else's. This will sometimes cause him to have tunnel vision on certain things, being a bit flexible with how his vessel behaves and more strict on his own behaviors. Despite his quiet and collected demeanor, Alkaios is actually quite naive and innocent, believing much of what he's told. This side of him tends to shine through the longer one spends with him. He appears to be a cool and collected, analytical person, but he has hidden insecurities as well as a gentle disposition. Among that, he has a growing darkness that he keeps locked inside.

Alkaios was manifested into the world for only one purpose: to serve and protect his vessel to the best of his abilities. He is highly driven by this resolve and will not hesitate to put an end to another being if they happen stand in the way of his duties.

Simply put, Alkaios is the product made up from the delusions of what a 'hero' should be, based off the mind of a little girl from long ago. Someone who would protect her, stand by her without judgement, a guardian who would never think to betray her....Aaric Duncant's single desire for a friend who would understand her the most gave life to an entity who's only goal was to be everything the young girl yearned for in another but could never hope to find. Aaric's delusions and desires had mixed and meshed, creating the being known as Alkaios who swore total loyalty to his vessel when he was finally given a physical form. However, when in the process of manifesting, his vessel had experienced an unnerving feeling of a strange fear that caused Alkaios to mutate and change in appearance from what he was originally supposed to be. The deep, lingering fear within his vessels heart darkened her thoughts, which in turn corrupted not only his own form but pieces of his 'heart' as well. Alkaios came to feel similar insecurities and fears about himself just as Aaric had, along with submerged dark thoughts, but this did not change his goal in any way. It did not matter if he had been dealt a disadvantage; what Alkaios knew within him was that before he would allow his vessel to ever be faced with harm, he would stoop to any means necessary to stop it from happening. Even if it meant giving himself to the corruption within.
